Work today was harder, temps were hotter, and the team is loving it all and doing well. Learning a lot about the tension between relationship focus and task focus. Both are needed. Key word: both. Making great progress on projects while meeting and loving lots of people. Hard to believe we're almost half way--we're just getting started!
Great first day of work; all doing well. God seems to show up in many different ways to people on the team. Makes us excited for tomorrow.
Update: Travel went well. Facility in Petit Goave is good, the people in Haiti are great. Work starts tomorrow (later today cause I just got this update this morning :)). We will help build a school and part of a health clinic. All on team are well – and eager to get to work!
4:30 am - Grand Rapids airport. Let's do this!
The team is packing and prepping for our adventure June 30-July 6.
